Boat plans!

New alu boat build project!

So my good friend Casper and I have finaly decided to go ahead with our plans to build our own aluminium boat for the pleagic vertical zander fishing. I found the plans on the following website: www.metalboatkits.com . Obviously - we will customise the design as we go along, so it will fit our exact needs. Casper is a master at welding and all kinds of metal work - so I am sure that the project will come out great when we are finished - I will keep you updated as the project moves forward.

Boat project no. 2 needs some tender loving care!

I also started on another boat project with Benjamin - we wanted a boat we could use for baiting up and boating out rigs for our carp fishing on the big lakes. So we got this great deal on a glassfiber boat - But there will be a "few" hours work, as it needs sanding down, some glasfiber work and a total new paint job. But that is a project for the comming months, as it needs to be finished by the the end of august - again I will keep you updated as this project moves forward.

Fishing wise - Casper and I will be going to Sweden this comming weekend to participate in the   Spinn´s Gösadrag 2016 a pleagic zander competition on the lake Rottnen. We are looking forward to a great time meeting anglers with the same interest as ourselves.

Back from the Graviers

 A deep lovely mirror @ 25,1 kg, the only one that week for me. 

 

 

The other side - just a great looking carp!

 

So another week at the Graviers near Dijon came and went. Again the fishing was difficult to say the least, and without any reason really - weather and water temperature was perfect, but carp can be moody cunts, so in the end Benjamin lost one and caught a lovley compact 26,4 kg (58lb 3oz) mirror. That was the only action that side of the lake. Then on the friday I finaly managed to "bore" a nice       25,1 kg (55lb 5oz) mirror up the line - we all used DT Bait Pukka Fish Mix boilies with sour cream and peach flavour in 22 mm - I am quite shure both fish landed fell for a "snowman" set up with one of the new Cult Classic pop up in the Peach and Orange version, But do check this line of pop ups out, the also do a nice Scopex one and the Bubbelgum version and they are all awesome. But again we had a great trip, so big shouts go out to the lakes owner Luke Moffatt and his "side-kick" Nick and Maze the dog for having us on again - I will be back in July with my family, and the we are palning 3-4 weeks next year, but we will see how things pan out.

Back with a bit of old news.

32,6 kg not bad!

A short update, with some pictures from my trip to Gigantcia October 2015 - as allways it was a great fun, with a lot of banter and chriping between a great group of guys. Again this year we managede some nice carp. Christian caught the elusive "Cluster" @ 70lb plus and I banked a 3 fish with the biggest @ 32,6 kilo. Most fish were caught on the ever consistent DT Bait N-Blend boilies. We will of course be back in October this year, but first a weeks trip to Luke Moffatt's Graviers in 2 weeks time! I will try and keep you updated.
